The purpose of the Distance Education Research and Application Center is to ensure that the university internet-supported education-training activities are carried out more effectively and efficiently, and to conduct relevant research, development and application studies.
At the same time, the main purposes of the Distance Education Research and Application Center are to assist institutions and organizations with compulsory distance education course instructors needs and requests, to develop e-learning-based courses and programs in associate, undergraduate, graduate and adult education, and to support associate, undergraduate and graduate courses offered at the University in e-learning format.
In addition, the Distance Education Research and Application Center also undertakes the tasks of opening, conducting and coordinating the certificate programs to be given through e-learning within the University, adapting the education programs of public and private sector institutions to e-learning and contributing to the development of distance education systems, transferring knowledge to relevant institutions and organizations and making publications on these subjects.
